✈️ How to Crack the IndiGo Cabin Crew Interview – 2025 Guide
When I was just 18 years old, I walked into my first cabin crew interview — with IndiGo Airlines. I still remember the excitement, the nerves, and the moment they said, “You’re selected!”
I was part of Batch 28, back when IndiGo was only three years old. We wore the classic old uniforms, and those early flying days hold some of the happiest memories of my life. The friendships I made then are still some of the closest I have today.
Years later, it brings me so much joy to now watch my own students walk into IndiGo interviews with the same sparkle — and make it! Many of them are now proudly flying for IndiGo, and I even got to attend one of their graduation ceremonies — such a proud mentor moment.
If you’re dreaming of becoming IndiGo cabin crew in 2025, I’ve created this guide to walk you through the entire selection process, step by step. You’ll also find helpful tips and tools to prepare better, and feel more confident when your big day comes.
📝 1. Online Application & Resume Screening
Everything starts with applying online through IndiGo’s official careers page. Your resume plays a big role in whether you get shortlisted.
Checklist for your resume:
Recent passport-size photo
Clear contact details
10+2 qualification
Mention of spoken English skills
Grooming awareness or any hospitality experience
👉 Tip: Keep it one page, clean and professional. First impressions count.
⚖️ 2. BMI & Eligibility Check
Before the interview begins, IndiGo will check your BMI (Body Mass Index) and basic eligibility.
Requirements:
Age: 18 to 27 years
Height: 155 cm (females),
BMI Range: 18–22 for females
Vision: 6/6, contact lenses are allowed, no spectacles, no visible tattoos
✳️ You can use our BMI Calculator to check your range and start planning early if you need to adjust.
💬 3. JAM (Just a Minute) Round
You’ll be given a random topic and asked to speak on it for a minute. This round tests your:
Spoken English
Confidence
Clarity and fluency
Overall communication skills
👉 Tip: Practice daily with friends or in front of a mirror. Pick any topic — even “My Favorite Food” — and just speak naturally.
👩💼 4. HR Interview Round
This is the final selection stage. HR will ask you:
Why do you want to work for IndiGo?
How do you handle difficult passengers?
Can you work in shifts or relocate?
They’re checking your attitude, grooming, and ability to stay calm under pressure — not just your answers.
👉 Tip: Smile, maintain soft eye contact, and speak from the heart.
🩺 5. Medical Test & Final Documentation
If selected, you’ll undergo a medical checkup to ensure you’re fit to fly. After clearing that, you’ll receive training instructions and joining details.
💡 My Personal Advice
As someone who’s been on both sides — first as an IndiGo crew member, and now as a mentor — here’s what I’ve seen work:
Focus on your English fluency and grooming every single day.
Practice answering out loud many times before your Interview.
Walk in with calm confidence — not arrogance, not fear.
Don’t be afraid of rejection — many of my students got selected after their second or third try!
